I really enjoyed reading "Desperada's Dream" by Therese Parsons. I found it very hard to put down. I am looking forward to her next book "Desperada's Desire."
Desperada's Dream
I loved this book by Therese Parsons who is new to the genre of young adult Christian fiction. The dialog is believable and flows well, the storyline unique and intriguing. I stayed up late to finish the book and am now eagerly awaiting the sequal to see how events continue to unfold. This is an author with potential. The storyline earns 5 stars, but I am deducting one star for excessive use of description.
I was "hooked" from page one !
I felt as if I got to know each character personally and found myself rooting for Jedidiah's football team over Blake's !
I also got a kick out of reading about all the local places the kids would hang at.
I loved the Gospel being proclaimed through out the chapters and through the characters.
I highly recommend this book not only for teenagers but also for parents of teenagers, youth leaders and the like.
